Can do this w/ some fancy list comparisons or by eye, but seems to be an important thing to expose - what is the difference between your old nml and this new one that fails? Your coworker's nml and this one you have?

Would you want the user to view the differences printed in the console, or as an output object, e.g. nml list with differences?
And should we also compare the nml file with a 'perfect' one including all possible keywords?

@jread-usgs, Robert and I were just talking about the latter, and the fact that there are a lot of default parameters that have been added to the .nml structure recently, but these aren't documented anywhere. Would be nice to have a master .nml in the package that you can both compare yours to (see if there are parameters you are misisng), and also compare yours to someone else's.
