The cov-spectrum has not been updated for more than a week, which is the longest update interval in my impression since I entered the circle in 2023. Excuse me, is there something wrong with the website? Or what conditions are required for each update, and now it's just that the update conditions are not met?

At the same time, I suggest that the editor replace the XBB* and XDQ* in the editor's choice with other strains. I personally suggest changing it to LB.1* and XDV*.
Here are the reasons for my suggestion:
1️⃣ The proportion of XBB* has been 0% after many recent updates of cov-spectrum, and the WHO has deleted all XBB subsystems in the VOIs in the June 28 update, leaving only BA.2.86* and JN.1*.

2️⃣ The development of XDQ* in the world, especially in Japan, is because FLiRT and FLuQE did not develop first in the places where XDQ* made great progress before, so it gave XDQ* the opportunity to develop. At present, we see that in Japan, with the development of KP.3* (FLuQE), and the fact that XDQ* has not evolved further, the proportion of XDQ* in Japan and the world is gradually decreasing, which provides a reason to replace XDQ* in the editor's choice.
3️⃣ LB.1* has a lot of mutations such as S:Q183H on the basis of FLiRT, so its development speed and share in all continents are very impressive. It has a similar growth rate to KP.3* at the moment, and is not limited to Europe and America like KP.3.1.1. In addition, the number of sequences of LB.1* has exceeded 2,000 at the moment, which is why I suggest adding and monitoring LB.1*, as it has the ability to compete with KP.2* for the first place in FLiRT.
4️⃣ XDV* (mainly XDV.1) is developing impressive in China at this moment. At this moment, the proportion of XDV* in China may have exceeded 50%, which has also driven the development of XDV* around China. However, considering the previous situation of XDQ* in Japan, and the fact that XDV* has not continued to evolve better at this moment, and China's FLiRT and FLuQE have not developed much at this moment, this may be the reason why XDV* can have such a high proportion in China at this moment. ➡️Therefore, I suggest monitoring XDV* like monitoring XDQ*, but I personally think expectations for XDV* should be lowered. At this moment, I am more curious about whether China will eventually choose to develop FLiRT or FLuQE?

The above are all my questions and suggestions. ⬆️I hope relevant people can reply and solve them after seeing them. Thank you very much🙏!
