OOH, exciting. I found an article about installing .deb packages on Linus and managed to install it from the command like using dpkg. (I last used a UNIX command line in about 1995.) But, I still get the same errors. It appears to be looking for a Windows-style directory, 'Publii cannot find your sites folder: C:\Users\Judy\Documents\Publii\sites', but not sure how this machine would know that I last used Publii on a Windows machine. It's a new install of Linux (Ubuntu) and a new install of Publii. The user documentation explains how to change default directories, but only once I get Publii running. I assume there is some kind of config file somewhere with this information in it? Any ideas? |

I'm new to Linux, have used Publii for some time on Windows. I downloaded the .deb file and double-clicked on it (in my downloads folder). I get a message saying No Archive Opened, then an Extract window. Not sure where to extract these file to. My Home directory? I make a Publii directory in Applications and extracted the files there, but now not sure which file is the executable, so not sure how to run it. I found the publii.desktop script in /home/judy/Applications/Publii/usr/share/applications and it references /opt/Publii/Publii, so i tried that, but I get a lot of errors. Looks like those relate to locations, so I'm guessing that the files are not in the right place. Should the opt directory be in my home directory? Please can someone guide me as to where the files need to be stored when they are extracted or point out any other silly error I am making. Thanks.
