Create menu link with multiple tags - > Tag page but with multiple tags.

I'd like to create menu link to a tag page that has multiple tags.

So the menu link might be "Tools & Guides" and links to a single page that has all posts that are tagged with both 'Tools' & 'Guides'.

By default Publii only lets you select one tag for a link, is there a way to enable you to select multiple and generate a tag page with multiple posts from multiple tags?

you could create a custom post template, for example, post-tools-guides.hbs, using the {{getPostsByTags}} helper.

In this minimal example, a loop is generated over 10 posts retrieved from tags with IDs 1 and 2:

{{#getPostsByTags "count=10&tag_as=id&tags=1,2"}}
 <article>
   <h2>{{title}}</h2>
   <p>{{excerpt}}</p>
 </article>
{{/getPostsByTags}}

I assume that this means templates with hard coded tag IDs rather than selected? I'll give it a try and see if it works!

Hi,

For a more flexible solution, you can add a custom control to the new post template (or in a theme options customization) that allows you to select the tags to use for the list.
You can then pass the list of tag IDs as a parameter to the {{getPostsByTags}} helper.
Using a taglist control, you can obtain a comma-separated list of tag IDs. I’ve done this in the past, though I don’t remember the details very well at the moment.
This solution is more advanced and requires a good understanding of the Publii theme API.
