Notice that the screen wider than the image, and there is about an inch of the left side of the picture on the right side. This becomes more problematic with larger and wider screens.

I'm aware of this. It's been this way for a long time, since before I was in charge of the website, and everything I try to do to fix it makes it worse.

Could we just scale it to screen width while maintaining aspect ratio?

The aspect radio scaling on the width of the image doesn't scale it properly, I've tried everything I can think of. This is an issue Lea had as well in the past, and Henry tried to fix as well and none of us came up with a solution.
