Add GPIO after Home Assistant discovery

Hello, I succesfully concigured and addes a device to Home Assistant. After that I added a GPIO button and configured it in the webconfig of the plate. When pressing the button it shows up as a MQTT message, but I can't find it in Home Assistant. How can I propagate this change to Home Assistant?

I notice that the input entries in the discovery topic stays empty:

This is a limitation of the HA Custom Component.
Remove the device (and all its references) in Home Assistant, then restart HA.
Rediscover and add the device again as before to show the new gpios...

I've been spending the last few days with that issue and indeed this solves the problem. It might make sense to make that note at the official documentation since it only states today:
When integrated with Home Assistant, the configured GPIOs will be added automatically during discovery as appropriate entities in the system.
