Running BibTeX between LaTeX runs

Hello,

Before anything, this work is really useful for me, a huge thanks to the developers!

I have to compile my document with biblatex or biber, but I have to run different configurations every time.
I've looked into compiling by sequence, maybe with a new configuration able to use in sequence already built ones.
It's not a new idea, see here: https://github.com/Hannah-Sten/TeXiFy-IDEA/discussions/

Does anyone know if this will be made available or if it's already done?

I do not understand what you mean, could you clarify?

Of course.

I mean that to generate the bibliography in the final pdf document, I have to compile in sequence first with pdflatex, then biblatex or biber, and then again with pdflatex. So every time I want to update the bilbiography, I have to run the respective configurations separately.

Or it could also interesting to have a configuration able to work witht more than one compile engine, or more than one language.

If you generated a run configuration from context (e.g. using the gutter icon) then the run configurations should be linked automatically, see https://hannah-sten.github.io/TeXiFy-IDEA/bibtex.html#compiling , it is done by a setting in the run configuration (https://hannah-sten.github.io/TeXiFy-IDEA/run-configuration-settings.html#choose-external-latex-tool-run-configuration)
Please let me know if the documentation can be improved (or feel free to do so yourself)

I did that, but whenever I run the configuration (that has biblatex as an external program and another one for glossaries), the biblatex one doesn't run, and the corresponding compilation window doesn't open. (but that of the glossaries does). So I have to use them separately.
I've installed IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate from the jetbrains toolbox, in Ubuntu 24.04.
I wouldn't mind contributing if I solve the problem.

It works for glossaries but not for bibtex? If the bibtex run configuration is added to the latex run configuration, and the latex run configuration exits witthout errors, it could be a bug.
Could you try with a new project, with a small example like described here: https://hannah-sten.github.io/TeXiFy-IDEA/bibtex.html#using-the-biber-compiler-and-the-biblatex-package then compile?
If it is related to glossaries, maybe you need to extend the example to include examples like described in https://hannah-sten.github.io/TeXiFy-IDEA/external-tools.html#glossary-examples

If you can reproduce the problem for such an example project, I should be able to reproduce the problem as well with the same example.
