• fix update breaking toolbar keys (does not fix it if you used beta2, you will have to restore your toolbar manually or import settings from before beta2)
• fix missing translations due to build ignoring settings
• improve language switch key guard against accidental touch (Backspace disables language switch button for some time #630)
• increase allowed split distance (Maximum values for split distance and distance from bottom of screen too low #869)
• add keyboard_state_selector for json layouts, allows accessing emoji and language key settings, and whether keyboard shows main (alphabet), symbols and shift symbols view
• fix crash with currency key popup (Numpad dollar sign crash #881)
• clarify error messages when layout can't be saved (I don't think you can set 'clipboard' as a popup key #887)
• improve popup key handling (Pipe | character as a key popup #883)
• block space and delete swipe duriung sliding input, by @devycarol (Space and backspace gestures activate when sliding from modifier keys #892, Fix space and delete gestures activating during modifier slides #895)
• fix phantom space after double quotes, by @codokie (Space is inserted when typing two consecutive double quotes #840, fix phantom space after double quotes #842)

The documentation links to both KeyLabel.kt and KeyCode.kt (usually labels is the one you want. Codes are more customizable, but not all of them actually work.

OK, my problem was I was trying to set the tabulation as a secondary popup key, which I believe is not possible 🤔

Might be the dumbest question ever, but how do I get to that page from the HeliBoard GitHub home? I'm following and I also have starred the repository, but to land on that page I always need to come back here 😅

Very late reply, but: on the main page you have a list of folders and files, one of the files is layouts.md.
There are links in the contributing and features sections of the readme.

Some keys don't disappear any more, like language / emojis / numbers. I can' find out how to configure those options properly.

When you go to advanced settings -> customize functional key layouts, do you have a default button on any of those?
Because if you use the default functional key layouts, the language / emojis/ numpad keys should behave like previously. (and so far no one else reported this issue)

Looks like I forgot to update the tablet layout here, will be fixed in the next version.

Ah, this might be the case. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Fold 4, wich is not a real tablet, but often gets recognised as such.
Anyway, thank you very much for the brilliant work and super quick help!!!
