installer for codex desktop?

Is there an installer for codex desktop? I saw the codex demonstration on YouTube, and was wondering if this was done using codex desktop? I haven't used codex or claude code before, but use Rstudio daily and would love to try

Thanks for reaching out. The demonstration was indeed used via the Codex desktop app, but will work with the cli as well if you use that too. Basically any desktop app or cli that has MCP configuration works for ClaudeR.

To Install ClaudeR simply run this in RStudio:

if (!require("devtools")) install.packages("devtools")
devtools::install_github("IMNMV/ClaudeR")

Once downloaded run:

library(ClaudeR)
install_cli(tools = "codex")

Then based on your set-up choose one of these two:

• Option A (newer Codex CLI): paste the printed codex mcp add ... command into your terminal
• Option B (older Codex CLI, or if you don't have the CLI at all): open ~/.codex/config.toml
  in any text editor and paste the printed TOML block

Then restart Codex and run this in your RStudio and hit start server in the shiny pane:
ClaudeR::claudeAddin()

Now when you talk to Codex just say something such as 'Use the MCP R tool, do xyz...'
