'invalid syntax' error

I get an 'invalid syntax' r(198) error when running stata_PII_scan either as a command from the ado-file or as a do-file with the path macros set. The error occurs after the program has worked through all variables in the 1 file in my directory once.

set trace on shows the problem occurring at line 520,

forvalues x=1/`count'{

Because `count' is apparently "." which is invalid syntax
