I was wondering if the current version of PyNite allows for defining the whole structure in parts. Specifically, I'm interested in specifying two instances of FEModel3D() and later merging the two FE models into one.
To provide a more specific use case, I need to model a structure that would require the use of solid elements for a complicated part, while the rest of the structure can be modeled with PyNite beam elements. Since I enjoy using PyNite, my plan is to substructure the complicated part of the structure in Ansys, export the stiffness matrix, and later import it into PyNite. I am curious to know if this process can be easily accomplished with the current version of PyNite.

Hi Craig,

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best regards,
