Installation

This is a step-by-step guide on how to install Rainmeter along with Core.

ℹ️ Win11 users, you can quickly install Rainmeter simply by entering winget install rainmeter in your command line.

1. Download Rainmeter from the official website
2. Run the installer
3. After a successful installation, you should be greeted with different elements on your screen. Simply remove them by right clicking them and select unload.
4. Download the .rmskin file from the releases page and press install.
5. Follow through the welcome screen to finish your installation.
6. Go to the modules or desktop page and select the utility that you desire.
7. Click on the download button to install the utility.

🥳 Now you've got Core successfully installed on your desktop! You can open Core again by searching in Windows Search

Core configuration

• Head over to Core's setting panel from the Settings button on the top left on the home page

General settings

• Version control, check for updates and install them here!
• Check for Core updates in the background, enable this to have Core notify you when there is an update available.
• Check for module updates on startup, enable this to have Core check if there are newer versions of the modules that you've installed.
• Add shortcuts, add JaxCore.lnk to either the programs folder or on the desktop
• Web installation, enable this to be able to install skins from JaxCore's website

Appearance and addons

• Core appearance preset change between 6 different color schemes.
• Addons list a list of other dependencies required for parts of some modules
