Download GLORYS data for the time period we are interested in. GLORYS data starts in 1992 and runs until present. I am currently grabbing the daily product u and v variables only for the top 50 meters that can be accessed through Copernicus Marine here: https://data.marine.copernicus.eu/product/GLOBAL_MULTIYEAR_PHY_001_030/description
