irregular time series

Hi,

I'm calculating the velocity using VoCC package, but my climate raster data is not regular time series. I'm wondering if I can still use the function "tempTrend" and "spatGrad" to calculate the velocity? I tried to search for it in the related documents and paper but still have no idea about this.
