What happened?

It is painful to use space and shift-space to scroll or page through content without triggering the reader menu/settings overlay to appear and disappear. In the Book reader, pressing the space bar doesn't appear to scroll anything at all.

What did you expect?

I understand that binding the toggle menu action to the space bar is a convenient and established feature, but it would be great to have an option to disable or re-bind this behavior for accessibility purposes. The space key is a large and easy-to-hit button on keyboards which can make it a more preferable scrolling mechanism compared to the page up and page down keys (not to mention that not all keyboards have dedicated page up and page down keys).

In particular, lack of space bar scrolling support hurts the usability of the scroll layout mode in the Book reader and the Webtoon reader mode for the Manga reader. While this is less of an issue for the Book reader because the paginated view is reasonable alternative, the Webtoon reader mode experience suffers more because webtoon content is so scroll-dependent.
