I made a windows ver here https://github.com/ghazzor/kotatsu-dl-portable , I will soon make a linux ver too.
will there be official portable versions for other platforms though ?
its much more noob friendly and less hassle

Not sure this is relevant, now (since v1.0) application uses Compose mutliplatform and distribution approach has been changed

Not sure if I should open an issue for this, so I am just sending it here for now:
Is there a plan to create a macOS application as well :) unaware of how to do it myself, but I would greatly appreciate a macOS version or some hints on how to go about it. I could potentially help/test (experience in C++, python, bash, ready to learn new things).

For Linux version, I think a simple way to do that is to writing a simple script that starts the /bin/kotatsu-dl file. You might wanna build an AppImage version btw.
