Would it be possible to have either;
1 - a specific field that stores the subgenre (for example 'subgenre' or 'style')? OR
2 - some settings in the backend where you can select which genre is a subgenre (see it like a genre mapping tool where one can select the main genres and the subgenres for the main genres)?
If a user does not use the above mentioned options, functionality would be as is. If a user has a subgenre defined, either by using option 1 or option 2; the genre menu would preferably be hierarchical where it will show the main genre first and by pressing that all the subgenres of that main genre will show (including the main genre as well). After that, the same functionality as it is now will be shown (Artists, Releases, Random Releases, etc.).
To avoid much retagging for users, option 2 would be preferred.
