2 tiny feature requests.

First, can the map tracker 'window' (the single text line where it lists the map tier and the graphic map mods) have an option to hide when out of game, and second, I use the portal gem on my second skill bar, so essentially it winds up being ctrl-Q, and Im wondering if there is any way it would be possible to allow that key combo to be set for the 'portal' reminder for map mods.

It should always hide when tabbed out.

AutoHotkey's notation for CTRL as a modifier-key is ^, so you'd have to set the reminder hotkey as ^q

Ill try to get a ss at some point of it not hiding (may be a few days, as Im a bit burned out). It might be due to the fact that I tend to just hit the windows key and click my browser instead of properly win-D or alt tabbing.
