100% custom resolution being an option? Or 1440p window mode?

I keep coming back to check if this is viable to me yet sadly never will be for me as I run an ultrawide 5160x1440 with the game in a window and if I pick any of the available resolutions the game will be unplayable to my eye due to the fact that this nice tool changes my resolution to what I don't want.
GJ and GL on further improvements - I've checked in for years and will contiue doing so and pushing it to friends regardless :)

I'm pretty sure you can run the game in windowed mode 1080p, run the tool, remove window borders and force a custom res.

I haven't checked it in a while but can try later when I'm home.

It may he been me being frustrated that I couldn't pick a resolution in the UI that didn't re-scale the window of the game.
I shall give it a go come Friday!

Yeah, it still works. I set the game to windowed 1080p (any res below your native should work), saved the in-game settings, (re)started the tool, clicked apply borderless-windowed mode, and set a custom res of 2000x1440:

EDIT: the only issue seems to be that the game-client stays behind the task-bar
