Claim Boundary

Date: 2026-05-11 Repository: LalaSkye/commit-gate-core

Purpose

This file keeps the repository's public claim surface bounded, inspectable, and evidence-led.

The repository is a bounded artefact. It is not a universal governance claim.

Allowed claims

This repository may be described as:

  • a bounded artefact
  • a path-local demonstration
  • an execution-boundary control surface
  • a working paper support surface
  • a runnable inspection surface
  • a refusal-receipt demonstration
  • a testable commit-gate primitive

Mechanism claim

Safe wording:

commit-gate-core demonstrates a path-local commit gate: a consequence-producing action cannot execute on the demonstrated path unless a valid signed, scoped, unexpired, unreplayed DecisionRecord authorises the exact commit.

Evidence claim

Safe wording:

The repository provides code, examples, tests, and receipt-shaped evidence for the demonstrated path.

Forbidden claims

Do not claim:

  • adoption
  • validation
  • endorsement
  • certification
  • compliance
  • production readiness
  • field impact
  • proven market demand
  • path-universal coverage
  • standardisation
  • first / category-defining status
  • tamper-proof audit custody
  • control over all possible routes to consequence

Comparison boundary

Do not use this repository to attack, rank, or collapse other projects.

If another project is relevant, treat it as:

  • a neighbour
  • a research lead
  • a separate artefact lane
  • an external comparison subject requiring direct inspection

No competitor commentary belongs in this repo unless it is part of a bounded, evidence-led comparison document.

Public sentence

This is a small enforcement primitive for inspecting where consequence is allowed or refused before mutation.

Stop line

If the evidence is not in the repo, paper, release, test, or receipt, do not claim it.
