Enhancement: "Custom Character" alongside "Custom Scroll Speed"

We have custom scroll speed, which lets us use a fixed scrollspeed for every song. What if we had a "Custom Character" option, where we choose the "character group" to find a character in, and then select the one we're looking for, BAM, we can play as that character in every song? It would save me from going through the trouble of going into the chart editor to make an edit I'm not even going to save, only to use my self insert's icons, custom death sfx, etc. Sure, I could save the changes, but what about every other song? I have LOADS of mods enabled, and "oh, just disable the rest" or "do it one mod at a time" won't help. I want to use my character in everyyy song without having to go into the chart editor every time to make a temporary edit... you get the gist now, right?
