Why is there a minimum width/height?

Hi there,

I need to embed youtube videos and my interface would require them to be 150px width to integrate properly in my UI.
I see in the doc that:

Embedded players must have a viewport that is at least 200px by 200px

Is this a technical requirement?
Will my app be non functional if I go under these?
Will my app be refused on Google Store?

I need some feedback there, because when Igo under these values, the player still shows. Note that I hide controls and user is not supposed to click on the video since I've but a control panel somewhere else.
