Basal not injected - Help #2293
Comments
Welcome to Loop. Please use zulipchat or Facebook to request help from a mentor if you have more questions. They will instruct you if you need to open an Issue. You may be running into a known, but intermittent, display glitch where a basal program is accepted and sent to the pod but the display on Loop doesn't get updated. If that is the case, quit (swipe up) the app and reopen it to force a refresh of the display. If that explains your experience, I'm listing two other Issue reports plus a PR (proposed fix) for cross-reference:
We normally want only one issue open on a topic. Please close this Issue by scrolling to the bottom of the screen at GitHub and tapping on "Close issue". BR/Marion |
Thank you Marion, I read in your recommended threads that it is a glitch that happens with iOS18, which I am running. |
If you are running in Open Loop, that may be part of the problem. (I don't have time to test right now to confirm this. I only use Closed Loop on my own phone.) LoopDocs suggests running open loop at first, but we are thinking of modifying that suggestion to running Closed Loop but with really wide targets. The reason is that some displays don't update the same way in open loop as they do in closed loop. You could set the low end of your target at 100 mg/dL (or whatever you feel comfortable with) and your high end at 180. This would give you mostly manual control but add the additional safety feature for a low-glucose suspend safety feature. If you haven't already - please join one of the these social media groups to get feedback from other users / mentors. |
Closing this Issue. You can continue the conversation even after it is closed, but it is best to join one of the social media options listed in the previous comment. |
Hi, I am new to Loop (and to the omnipod) and I face the following issue : in an open loop configuration I have set Loop to tell the Omnipod Dash to inject my basal plan. It doesn't.
The loop/Omnipod connection is working well (bolus goes through), in closed loop mode, the basal goes through, but I want to keep the Loop/Omnipod in open loop.
Is there any solution you could suggest to get my basal plan as per what I need, please ?
Thank you for your help !
