Congratulations on a very useful plugin. I have one suggestion.
Here in the UK a single city can have many bus operators. To make things worse they may use identical, or very similar numbers and identifiers for similar routes. It would therefore help to extract the name of the operator as well as the basic route identifier.
One caveat: there are some routes which are jointly-operated by two operators, and this may complicate how this information is extracted.
