Hi, I have just downloaded your last beta release and moved the app to the Application folder. However, on opening it says the app is corrupted and does not open. Asks to move it to trash:( My OS is 10.14.
Cheers, Michael

Right-click, open.

Thanks for answer. It tells me its damaged; does not look like anything with authorisation/security settings. I did open it via right-click and open.

+1 on "“Boxer.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash." using AS-Beta on Intel.

+2 on "“Boxer.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash". using Universal-Beta on M1 MBA
Using the 2.0 version DL is VERY slow on the M1

@savetz , @aerosatman - does the binary linked in this message work for you?

#20 (comment)

We've have one positive report so far. More confirmation from other hardware would be excellent.

Yes! It launches and drops me in a DOSbox command line.

+3 on Boxer app is damaged. Mac Mini M1 running 11.1 with AS-beta build de8a6ea

This workaround works for me (adjust path as needed):
sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Boxer.app

Sorry for the stupid question: where do I look to download the latest beta?

It works! Loaded right up and I played some pinball. HOWEVER when I quit the program (Command-Q, for example) MacOS tells me: "Boxer quit unexpectedly" in a problem report dialog box.

Reading the following page indicates that it is so one app can control another:

https://www.howtogeek.com/297083/why-do-some-mac-apps-need-to-control-this-computer-using-accessibility-features/

I suspect this is because Boxer is running DOSBox in a separate process and needs to control it, though I am not 100% sure.

DOSBox isn't run as a separate process: It's embedded into Boxer's executable.

I'm still having this issue with the latest beta, on an M1 MacBook Pro running MacOS Monterey 12.2.1. I successfully ran Boxer at the end of last year, but now when I try, I get a malware warning box:
Screenshot 2022-03-31 at 11 56 30

Behind it is this dialogue box:
Screenshot 2022-03-31 at 11 56 38

If I go to Get Info on Boxer.app and tick the box labelled Override Malware Protection, the first box goes away but the second one which says The application "Boxer.app" can't be opened. remains, and it's impossible to run Boxer. I've tried downloading a fresh copy, clearing out my preference files, downloading the older Apple Silicon releases, and always get the same result.

Does anyone know how to get Boxer running again? I can post crash logs if needed.
