Feature Request: Add V-Carving Toolpaths #99
Description
Please consider adding support for V-carving toolpaths to Makera CAM. This feature would enable users to create:
- Text engraving with variable stroke widths
- Decorative inlays using a male and a female part
using a V-bit.
Currently, Makera CAM does not include a dedicated V-carving strategy. The pocket and contour operations are only usable to a limited extend for this use case because they lack the ability to create sharp corners. Additionally it would be practical to have a wizard for this purpose, in which the usual V-Carve values can be set directly, eliminating the need for additional calculations.
V-carving is a standard feature in many CAM tools and would be a valuable addition to Makera CAM. Makera CNC machines are especially suitable for creating such artwork.
