Intellikart

This is a prototype for a project to ease the procss of shopping in supermarkets. It includes a barcode and QR code scanner using the Zxing library.

How it works

  1. The person who wants to shop at a supermarket first downloads the app
  2. Scans the QR code of the cart he/she wants to use for shopping
  3. On successful scan, it enters the shopping list page
  4. Happy shopping

Features not included in this prototype

  1. For every 10 items, the list of items moves to permanent list and the temporary list is refreshed
  2. After the shopping is complete, retrieve the data about the price of each and every product purchased
  3. Integrate the payment gateways for payments to be done online.

Achievement -> Semifinalist at the Avery Dennison Spirit of InvEnt Scholarship Challenge

Qualified to the final round of the challenge where I had to pitch my idea of innovation to the judges in New Delhi!
