I am aware that the change to high contrast text display in 24.11 was handled in #893 so I'm aware that this was done intentionally. However, as there is currently zero customization available for the Text-based display in Preferences, it would be really neat if that currently-blank customization tab had the ability to switch back to the older scheme. At least on my system the high-contrast white is rather blinding to look at, and unfortunately the dark theme being the same high-contrast but inverted does not help.
Alternatively, a dark theme more akin to how dark themes on Github, Twitter, Bluesky, and Discord work (where it is not just bright white text on a solid black background) would be appreciated.
Thanks!
