I'm not sure how yet, but they should be placeable, and maybe placing one means the next one on the same spot just auto-merges them? So you place a Logistic Iron and it makes an Iron Ore entity, and if you place a Logistic Iron on the same tile as an Iron Ore entity then it just raises the Ore's size by one? The stack size with this idea at least would be quite large. Supporting modded resources would require procedural creation/selection of item icons during game loading. (Which I hear is limited to Selection, no procedural icon creation)
