Error: North/South halos too small for advection.

Hello, one of my GC5 N96O1 suites have failed with the following error:

I've increased extended_halo_size_ns from 5 to 6, run cylc vr and re-triggered it from the cylc gui. It's failed again with the same error.
Should I be increasing the halo to a larger number? Are there any other strategies to deal with this type of error?
