Feature: Simple Analytics

Want to start some conversation around a first pass at a simple analytics dashboard. Some things to consider:

1. Privacy respecting - keeping in line with the values of this project, any analytics would need to be server-side only and privacy respecting
2. Filtering bots and bogus traffic - these days especially, the traffic from bots and web scrapers has exploded. Analytics is useless if you can't reasonably determine the difference between web scrapers and real visitors.

I'd prefer not to take this feature lightly so I will be doing due-diligence in coming up with solutions to these problems

I also would like to see this feature. I'm planning on posting more using this blogging platform and I would love to see stats. especially for the apps I make available for download.

Some basic analytics at least would be amazing. I have read somewhere that BearBlog uses css (somehow?) to get analytics and I think this might do the job if there's no need for anything more detailed.

This is a big bite that I'd join tackling if given a chance.
Maybe it is worthy to review already existing open source analytics solutions and to utilize their engines to display data in publite.me style!
For example, Umami has API.
