This skill seems to work the first time, but subsequent queries spell previous words. Seems like something is being cached and not reset.

Repro:

  1. "hey mycroft, spell aardvark" (works)
  2. "hey mycroft, spell skyscraper" (spells aardvark again)
  3. "hey mycroft, spell house" (says all letters for aardvark and skyscraper!)

Hi, I tried this on my desktop install and my Mark 1 and couldn't repeat the issue. What platform are you running on? and maybe the selected TTS may be of interest as well?

Gotcha, I will try with Mimic3 as well.

Tested: For me mimic3 repeats every utterance twice

Retried, and I had a user error, now it works as expected for me :/

What was the user error?

Maybe that's something we can improve in the Mimic 3 docs?

It was early morning and I forgot that I had an audio service running in the foreground for debugging.

I did have a couple of random errors the first run of Mimic3 though. I'll see if I can reproduce them...
