LIS NASA SMAP SM data assimilation

Hi,

I am trying to run data assimilation setup using SMAP L3 SM (SMAPL3_SMP_008) on LIS V7.2 in order to initialize SM at 4th April 2021. I have an query regarding the time window set up for cdf matching step and DA step. I run the spin up for for year from 1st Jan 2020 to 1st Jan 2021. I took a period of nine months (April to December 2020) for cdf matching and then run from 2021 Jan to 4th April 2021 for the DA step to obtain the DA initialized SM. Is the above setting of time window is fine or should we take cdf matching time period only for DA step also ?.
