Site level simulation time zone

This might be a very simple question but I couldn't find any answer in the documentation. When setting up a site level simulation in FATES and using local meteorological drivers, does it matter whether the timezone is in local time or should this always consistently be shifted to UTC time?

I believe it should be UTC

The local met drivers are handled by the host land model (i.e. CLM, ELM, etc) and not modified or converted by FATES, so you should refer to the host land model documentation or the CIME DATM docs.
