Matlab still has a large userbase in many fields. In many projects, we come across Matlab code. Most of the time, we translate it into other languages, but we still need to be aware of the basics, if only for faithful reproduction.
Is this worth a chapter? Can we simply refer to other guides? Is this worth our effort or is this a trivial problem?

Our projects are about developing reusable code and encouraging open science, while Matlab is a closed-source commercial product. Therefore it looks like Matlab does not match our values and I am not sure if we should write Matlab code.
