In #394, we start adding NLeSC-internal specific notes to the best practices chapter. In particular, we are referencing and linking to the Project Management Protocol. However, this lives only on the intranet, which is not open to outsiders, which is not so nice.
Two discussion points:
Do we want the Guide (which, in the end, is still the NLeSC Guide) to contain NLeSC-internal notes at all? Do we want to minimize them? Maximize them? 😛 Should we limit ourselves to public NLeSC-specific things only?
Should we include intranet links on all pages? Or none at all? Or should we create a separate Guide page to link to where all the internal documents/guidelines are explained?
Just for completeness: the link was added after a review comment in #394, where @vedran-kasalica rightfully noticed that it was confusing to see a reference to some Named Document that was nowhere to be found.
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
In the interest of creating a welcoming page for people who do not work at the eScience Center, I think we should link from private documents to public documents, but not the other way around. I asked the programme managers if the project management protocol can be published somewhere public.
