This one's a doozy.

• Resources found for Google Maps and things:

  • Google Maps Directions API
    • i.e. how to route
    • Here's a few step by step vids I found but I didn't actually watch them so:

  • Google Maps Places API - may or may not need to be used
    • can convert coordinates (lattitude, longitude) to place_id's
    • routing with place_id's allow for more accurate routes e.g. with just coordinates, only routes with nearest road
  
  
• Figuring out how to use Google Maps Directions API, Google Maps SDK, and any other tools needed to:
  • Display the map on the HomeFragment
  • Track user's current location, display it with a marker, and update the user's "currentLocation" field in the Parse Database on an asynchronous thread (or some other way to constantly check their location):
    • Resource: Android Studio by self can get coordinates
  • Allow the user to search for a destination and route to it
  • Display the route, including markers of User's current location and destination
  • Find the EST given by the Google Maps API of the route
  • Figure out how to test simulating going on the trip (e.g. just walking from one location to the destination, nothing about the buddy system yet)
