Tesla's software update 2019.24.4 has changed how the TeslaCam files are saved/encoded. Using the Re-encode feature will fix these issues.

Install

If you have the Tesla FSD Computer(HW3) installed and/or get black videos, then you'll need to install the H.265 codec.

.NET Framework 3.5 must be installed

Install VLC 3.X if not already installed to enable VLC as the video player. Windows Meida Player is still supported but requires all TeslaCam files to be re-encoded before they play correctly, VLC fixes this issue.

  • Trim video clips before saving file

  • Drag & Drop files/folders to add them to the Explorer tree

  • Adjust playback speed of exported video

  • Format drives for Fat32 and add TeslaCam / Viewer to drive

  • Choose or design custom view layouts for viewing / exporting

  • Export / Import custom view layouts

Known Bugs

  • This is a Tesla issue! - Some TeslaCam .mp4 files get corrupt either while they are being saved or within the video itself. Some video playback windows may not populate due to this reason.
