We are looking for the ability to specify a pattern for a forward mapping. So for example lets say today that FIELD1 -> FIELD2_A and FIELD2_B today, we have to add both of those forward mappings to the model. We would like to instead say that FIELD1 -> FIELD2_.* in the model. It would be stored as such in the DatawaveMetadata table.
Then when we apply the model to a query, and the user specified FIELD1, then we would pull all of the fields in the system that match FEILD2_.* and apply those to the query.
