Ubuntu Install Docs #7

same here, can c# run on Ubuntu? |
I started testing with Ubuntu/Cent late summer last year. It was my intention to use Mono to do so. Other than a few resource files which were not compatible with Mono, it worked well. At first I was going to either switch out resources or write my own. However, I heard rumors that Microsoft was going to open source .Net, and a month later it became official. I've been waiting for the first official release (it is actually a preview release), which came out last week. With this the opportunity to port to Linux is much more realistic. Having access to the coreclr is huge for Linux development. I plan on testing a port using the preview release of .Net to Ubuntu later this month. No ETA as of yet, though, as getting an administrative web console to handle all the FIDO configurations is a much higher priority. |
Hallo robfry, |
Hi,are there and .deb or rpm files available? I would like to get stuck into this technology. :-) |
Is there an ETA when the Ubuntu install docs will be put in the wiki?
FIDO looks very interesting I can't wait to try it out!
