For now AQUIFERN is 2 ^ (aquifer number -1) which means that if user has 10-15 Aquifers, understanding the numbers is not easy.
A suggestion is to define another parameter to give pure Aquifer number.
Message from OPM development team:
This was discussed again with toolbox today. We believe this may be better handled within ResInsight, since all the information necessary is already in the AQUIFERN array as already noted.
Requiring the user to manually set up the back-calculation using Python or Octave from within ResInsight is a bit of a hassle however, so maybe this should be built into ResInsight as a convenience feature. Exactly how to communicate/visualize when a cell has multiple connections must be clarified, but Ceetron Solutions may be better placed to suggest a good interface.
Do you think this would be an acceptable solution?
