show location selection if polygon tool was used #752

I'm submitting a bug report

Brief Description

if the location was selected with the polygon tool, it is no longer displayed after reloading the website

What is the motivation / use case for this feature?

it would be handy to be able to see and change the selected area afterwards

What is the current behaviour, (attach relevant screenshots) ?

What is the expected behaviour ?

When does this occur ?

How do we replicate the issue ?

select the location with the polygon tool
reload the website
the selection is no longer displayed

Ubuntu 22
Firefox 131.0.3
