@jaimun sorry for the late reply. Could you elaborate on what you mean by soft border? I thing I know what you mean but just to make it concrete.

A fade out near the borders, so the image doesn't end with a hard cut.
You define a rectangle with maximum luminosity, and a bigger one where the image fades to zero.
So the projector looks more natural.
(I love using projectors in 3D, I've been doing it since 3Dstudio 3 in MSDOS... in the 90s... )

@jaimun Thank you for the clarification. I originally intended the add-on for technical setup tests like „Is this the correct projector for this room“ or „what throw ratio do we need to cover this wall“. I don’t see how soft edge will help to fulfill this original intent. Nevertheless, I find it very interesting what your use cases are and maybe we can find a way to integrate your request.

I would suggest using texture with soft border instead of trying to have it as a global option....
