News Ticker Dialog box wont't close after hitting add/edit/delete for news items

I click edit web part.
I click Manage News Items
After I choose to add, edit, or delete an item, when I click ok the dialog box remains open and I cannot exit out of the "Mangage News Items" page. I have to reload the entire page. (The items are still added/edited/deleted on refresh but I shouldn't have to do that).

If I don't select add, edit, or delete and instead want to just close the Manage News Items dialog box, It does close the options to add/edit/delete the items and I no longer see them as available. However, the external Manage News items dialog box remains without any option to close it (and I still have to manually refresh the page) .

This happened in news carousal webpart as well. Is there any solution or quick fix that you have?
