Mega-CD : "The emulator could not load ROM"

Hello,
Sorry if this falls under the wrong section.

I get this message when I try to launch any Mega-CD ROM :

My BIOS files are all ticked

I run OpenEmu 2.4.1 on a late 2012 Intel based Mac with MacOS 10.15.7 (Catalina)
All other consoles work just fine, including Saturn.
The dumps I tried where all .cue + single or multiple .bin.

As far as troubleshooting, I tried the same OpenEmu version, same ROMs and same Bios pack on a 2023 M2 macbook with MacOS 13.5 (Ventura), MegaCD worked perfectly.

Is there a known issue between 2.4.1 and older MacOS or Hardware that applies to megaCD ?
