xraylib integrated for Gate 10?

As the title states, is xraylib available/integrated with Gate 10 as it is with Gate 9?
I know they (xraylib) have a pip package currently available.

Hello,
xraylib is not used by gate10 (yet). To my knowledge, this lib was used in Gate9 for 2 features:

• G4XrayBoundaryProcess. If this is something needed, it can be added.
• Fixed Forced Detection. This is not done yet in gate10, but another method based on Free Flight is currently being developed.

I am looking to perform x-ray phase contrast imaging studies

G4XrayBoundary actually simulates refraction, you should check the paper doi.org/10.1364/OE.391471 to verify that it is what you need for your phase contrast imaging setup. It is actually implemented as a Geant4 physics process so it could be integrated in Geant4 which might make it easier to integrate.

Yes that is what I need. I suppose then I would need to manually install the opengate_core components with G4XRayBoundary included (referencing the xraylib), then add a pythonic interface file so I could add it as a process in my simulation?

I am looking for the same functionality as @ZacharyEBirch (i.e. X-ray refraction).
Are there any plans to include this in a future release?
