Selecting a particular topic from the dropdown list is convenient and avoids typos, but it has some drawbacks:

Can't enter multiple topics (which the backend supports)
Not as convenient as copy/paste, if you already have topic on clipboard

It would be nice if the user could edit a list of topics, entered via a textfield with autocompletion.
