Source a pressure sensor for the aeroponics subsystem accumulator tank. Reports to computer. Allows for shutoff of pump in case of emergency.

Context

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
There is currently no way to know what pressure the system is at other than when the pump turns off. This is inaccurate and unreliable. In addition, unforseen pump runaway could result in catastrophic tank failure (i.e. violent explosion).

Describe the solution you'd like
Source components and develop software for a pressure sensor that:

  • Can read between 0-125PSI
  • Can be interfaced with easily by our microcontroller Standard library linked in comments
  • Attaches to our existing system easily 1/4 BSPT female to 1/2" NPT male adapter, replace 1/2-1/2 female coupler with 1/2-1/2-1/2 female tee

TODO:

  • Source sensor and any necessary adapters
  • Find code (existing libraries?)
  • Update docs
    • plumbing diagram
    • BoM
  • Buy and test
