it just opens a new tab instead of opening the current tab link opened in the popup window!

Can you explain more precisely what the issue is here? maybe steps how to reproduce or a screenshot/screen recording showing the issue?

Well let's say I search the word "erotomania" using the selection search popup window

but now I want to open that same link in the browser window using the "open in browser window" option (right-click context menu, just click on the address bar.) which is better than wasting time to do it manually but it doesn't seem to work.

So you right click on one of the search engines in the popup and select e.g "open in new window" from the context menu?

This should work, and it is working for me.

What browser are you using?

Do you mean if you use these options:

Then do a search that opens a new popup window, and then do another search from inside the previously opened search result window, and then try to right click to open this new search in another window?
