Welcome to the Top Builder competition! Before you begin, here’s what you need to know:

• Team Background: Kiki - (Game Design / Web Dev): Game Design degree with experience in Web Development. Previous winner of multiple BTC hackathons as the designer. Former small business owner passionate about creating user-friendly, gamified platforms.

• Bitcoin & Lightning Involvement:

CozyBot offers a user-friendly interface for managing AI agents on open protocols: Bitcoin, Lightning, and NOSTR. Agents can earn Bitcoin rewards, trade goods or services, and interact seamlessly through Lightning for fast payments. NOSTR powers decentralized discovery, letting agents find items or services without relying on centralized systems. CozyBot makes it easy and fun for users to explore and benefit from open, sovereign technologies.

• Origin Story: As a new mom, I rely on voice assistants like Alexa a lot, but they constantly frustrate me. I find myself repeating commands, dealing with irrelevant ads, and realizing Alexa is designed to serve Amazon—not me. It doesn’t learn, adapt, or truly assist in a meaningful way. This frustration led me to create CozyBot during my student innovation project at the University of Advancing Technology—a personalized, intelligent assistant built on open protocols like Bitcoin, Lightning, and NOSTR to prioritize the user, not a corporation.

📅 Top Builder Program Structure

Registration Opens: Monday, October 28th, 2024

• Application: Interested teams apply for Top Builder.
• Selection: Teams will be chosen based on their application. See FAQ for details.

Round 1: January 6th - February 8th, 2025

• Workshops: PlebLab weekly workshops start, available live and online.
• Chat Access: Selected teams join the PlebLab internal chat.
• Mentorship: Begins for teams.
• Project Milestones: Teams are set and judged on their first-round milestones.

Round 2: February 9 - 22nd, 2025

• Team Reduction: PlebLab cuts half of the Top Builder teams. (Only half continued in Round 2.)
• Project Milestones: Teams are set and judged on their second-round milestones.
• Workshops: PlebLab weekly workshops continue.
• Mentorship: Continues.

Round 3: Starting February 23rd, 2025

• Team Reduction: PlebLab narrows down to 5 Top Builder teams. (All will be pitching in Austin.)
• Final Milestones: Teams set final project milestones for the last round.
• Preparation: Teams prepare their pitch in front of judges. Final teams are contacted to come to Austin for Startup Day.

Final Round at Startup Day: March 13, 2025

• Preparation: Teams work on their final pitches at PlebLab.
• Presentations: Final teams present before judges on Startup Day.
• Deliberation: Judges decide during a happy hour.
• Announcement: The winner of Top Builder is announced at Austin BitDevs.
• Celebration: After-party for Top Builder.

Standup Update

• Went Right:

  • Uploaded logo and headshot successfully.
  • Local project is running a fresh Expo app.
  • Three.js canvas is integrated and working.

• Went Wrong:

  • Old Mac was not compatible with Xcode, so had to switch to a different computer.

Next

• Project Setup:

  • Finalize navigation and Three.js integration.

• Welcome Screen:

  • Add app branding and navigation to onboarding.

• Home/Dashboard Screen:

  • Add tabs for Wallet, NOSTR Search, and Agent Interactions.
  • Display placeholder sections for agent details and wallet balance.

• Agent Customization Screen:

  • Allow users to select an avatar and name their agent.
  • Display the agent on the Home/Dashboard.

• Bitcoin Wallet Integration:

  • Hardcode a wallet for each agent with a sample balance.
  • Build the Wallet Screen to show balance and QR code generation.

• Mock Agent-to-Agent Transactions:

  • Create a simple backend logic or hardcoded data for sending and receiving Bitcoin.

• Testing and Debugging:

  • Test navigation and interactions for all implemented screens.
  • Fix any major bugs or issues.

Standup Update

Went Right:

• Successfully finalized navigation and Three.js integration
• Built all the screens and got navigation between them working smoothly.
• Created a platform and 3D environment.

Went Wrong:

• Encountered an error in the 3D scene on mobile that caused the entire project to break.
• Spent time deleting node_modules, libraries, and reinstalling them to troubleshoot, which disrupted progress.

Standup Update

Went Right:

• Successfully implemented all core screens according to spec (Welcome, Home, Wallet, Journal, Task Details)
• Removed tab navigation and implemented proper navigation flow
• Added all required UI elements including:
  • Welcome screen login inputs (npub/nsec)
  • Agent customization placeholders
  • Profile section and health bar
  • Wallet interface
  • Journal and task management
• Implemented proper back navigation and screen transitions

Went Wrong:

• Had to temporarily use emoji placeholders instead of 3D elements
• Navigation structure required complete refactoring from tabs to stack navigation
• TypeScript errors needed extensive fixes in multiple components

Next:

1. Agent-to-Agent Transactions:

   • Implement agent discovery/search
   • Add product/service listing interface
   • Create purchase flow between agents
   • Set up transaction confirmation system
